I wrote a series of commercials for Jenkin A-Lign – two 15 seconders and two 30′s.
Jenkin have a weather-tight timber cladding product and it’s been around for ages, 80 years I think (without checking).
The premise of the commercials is: “Stick to what you know”.
The character in the beginning is always being asked his opinion on clothes, perfume, physical appearance and so forth by his wife (or girlfriend). He always gives brutally honest (read: wrong) answers. Hence, stick to what you know.
This guy’s a carpenter and what he knows is timber. And he knows you can’t beat Jenkin A-Lign for weather-tight cladding. It’s been around for ages—tried and tested.
